The annual meeting of Friends of Kansas Libraries will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, April 7, 2010. The meeting will be at Century II Convention Center, Wichita, Kansas, Room 204. All members of Friends of Kansas Libraries attending the Kansas Library Annual Conference are invited to attend this meeting.
Business to be conducted includes amendment of the bylaws (see previous post) and election of Secretary and Treasurer.

Proposed Change in FoKL Bylaws, April 7, 2010
The change proposed is Article III, Section 4 of the FoKL bylaws that now states:
The terms of office of President, Vice President and Finance Committee Chair will be elected or appointed in the odd-numbered years, and the Treasurer, Secretary, Public Relations Committee Chair and Membership Committee Chair in even-numbered years.
Proposed change states:
The terms for offices of President, Vice President and Membership Committee Chair will be elected or appointed in the odd-numbered years, and the Treasurer, Secretary, Public Relations Committee Chair and Finance Chair in the even-numbered years.
Explanation:
Finance Chair and Treasurer will assume office during the same year.
This change in the bylaws will be voted upon during the Annual Meeting of Friends of Kansas Libraries, April 7, 2010, at the Kansas Library Association Conference in Wichita, Kansas.
