2007 FoKL Challenge Grant Recipients
Friends of Kansas Libraries distributed $2150 to eight Kansas libraries in the form of Challenge Grants during the 2007-08 fiscal year. The libraries and their projects are:
- Augusta Friends of the Library received$200 to purchase materials for a summer preschool reading program.
- Friends of the Graham County Library received $250 to upgrade the library’s audio/visual equipment.
- Friends of the Ida Long Goodman Memorial Library in St. John received $150 to assist with the library’s Internet Cafe & Coffee Bar.
- Friends of the Kingman Carnegie Library received $200 to assist with their mass mailing promoting membership in their Friends group.
- Friends of the Oskaloosa Public Library received $500 to assist with new carpet in their library.
- Friends of the Towanda Public Library received $200 to assist with their Monterey Dinner in conjunction with the City Spring Garage Sale Days.
- Friends of Washburn-Mabee Library in Topeka received $150 to assist with their “CaddyStacks” library miniature golf course and tournament.
- Friends of the White City Public Library received $500 to assist with new carpet in their library.
